Alpha Omega

Alpha Omega is an active growing progression raiding guild located on the Moonrunner server U.S.A. We are a guild of experienced players working our way into the raid content of the latest World of Warcraft expansion "Cataclysm". We do not consider ourselves hard core raiders in any way but we are dedicated to each other and work as a team towards the common goal of progressing through the end game. This means helping you gear up and skill up for the sake of guild progression. We appreciate and educate our guild members. We are a very tight group of friends who have been playing together for quit some time. We are happy to welcome others into the guild If you can assimilate your play to our ways. We like folks who hang out on ventrilo and like to make new friends. If your anti-social in any way then this is not the guild for you. You must be willing to except others and their play abilities regardless of the outcome of the raid. Its one for all and all for one here. If your really interested in true guild progression than we may be of interest to you.

We are currently 4/4 in Bastion of Twilight and 5/6 in Blackwing Descent.

We are currently recruiting several classes to complete our 25 man core makeup.

Our raid schedule is set to 4 days a week to accommodate as many as we can. We always start at approxamatly 6:00pm server Monday - Friday and we will always attempt to finish by 11pm server. We do not raid everyday to allow days to play alts, farm, dailies and real life. However ALL RAID MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN A MINIMUM 40% RAID ATTENDANCE PER 30 DAYS. You must sign up for all raids on the game calender found on your mini-map if you wish to participate. DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU CAN NOT COMMIT TO BEING ON TIME.

Saturday and Sunday are relaxed days and we normally concentrate on loot runs, badges, achievements, farming or helping other guild members or friends. However a spontaneous raid has occurred many times.

If you can not commit to raid times please do not apply. If you can not understand the importance of signing up and showing up for our raids then please do not apply. If you can not consistently help and participate in the guild as it functions then please do not apply. Also if you are a person who is easily offended please do not attempt to join our guild. If you expect the guild to raid at your leisure or your time frame then please do not apply. We do not consider it our job to regulate what jokes or offensive language is being said in guild chat or on ventrilo. It is our job however to keep a cohesive team. Be aware, we do require all raid members to help supply the mats for flasks, food buffs and in return the guild supplies repair money for most progression raids. If you are naturally an offensive person or you like to tell racial or sexist jokes please do not apply. We will not tolerate any racial, or sexist remarks of any kind. We have a strict NO DRAMA policy which extends to all forms of public communication including server forums, trade or general chat, and any interpersonal private communication. You will not remain an applicant or member of this guild if you use any public venue to respond to post or instigate any level of drama or make any self-congratulatory post. We want to create as light a footprint as we can in our community.

We do require 3 add-ons to play with Alpha Omega. These are found in the forums under "Required Add-Ons" you may have class recomended add-ons as well.

All applicants accepted will be ranked as Recruit for 1 week, at that time if you have not registered on this website you will then be demoted to the Inactive rank for an additional week. If you have still failed to register on this website after 7 (14 total) days you will be removed from the guild. This website is where all information and events will be posted. It is the members responsibility to stay informed. We would like to see you visit this page once a day. Show us your desire to be organized and well run.

Guild Admission

In order to run a successful guild in World of Warcraft, one needs a set of rules and expectations, In general, there are a few types of rules any guild need to set to ensure stability and order

Age

I strongly believe that Uber guilds are functional because its members treat it seriously, and with respect, and age plays a big factor in this. From experience, you will find great players of any age from 13 to 50+. However, the ones who are the most active and have the most spare time to dedicate to the guild are those from age 21 to 35. If you are a mature person and can except others just the way they are then your age can be overlooked.

Character Level

I also believe it is important to have a guild of members who are of similar level so that you can perform similar missions and tasks together. One of the worst experience as a player is when you are level 5 and everyone in the guild is level 80. Everyone who has a level 80 character in the guild is allowed one alt.

Personality

This is a key issue. Like any work or job, who you get along with is vital to effective teamwork and happiness. As the head of a guild, I will have to tolerate a wide range of personalities. From those who are always militaristic to always cheerful to bossy to sarcastic and to those who are always quiet. I will however not tolerate drama queens and grievers at all cost. They can destroy a guild from within very easily in a short period of time. I will also avoid those with short attention spans and bandwagon hoppers. We need players who will stay focused and commited to the progression of the guild.

Game Style

There are many reasons why people play in a MMOPRG. There is a wide range from the pure gamers to the social butterflies. We need a wide variety of each. Having gamers will enhance our guild with knowledge of the game. They tend to know a lot about missions, items and techniques. Having social butterflies are also important. They are the chatty ones and tend to improve morale, provide laughter, conversation and joy in playing this game.

We like to laugh. We like to have a good time and we like to keep it fun. We are a great group of folks from all walks of life and we are focused on guild progression.
