Welcome to <A S Y L U M>. We're a mid-sized guild, working on Cata content.

We are seeking ACTIVE, mature players of all levels who want to come in, move up, and help others along the way. We're committed to helping our members level, raid and gain the gear and experience they want, while having a good time! We're laid back enough that you can just sit and hang out, and hard-core enough to be raiding 6 days a week and expect those attending raids to come ready, repaired and 15 minutes early for invite.

One of the main tenants we started the guild with, is that the competition is outside the door. Therefore, keep the competition with other guilds, other members, but not your own. We don't post recount in raid or guild chat. Although dps and gearscore play a part in being able to raid the high end dungeons, it is not the ONLY measurement. Many players out-play an undergeared toon. Survivability, situational awareness, not dying in the fire basically, is a more garnered attribute than having a higher gs or dps, because it means you'll survive long-enough to be an asset throughout the ENTIRE fight.

If you have a bad attitude, think you are better than everyone else, are obnoxious, whiney, or throw nerd rage tantrums; if you swear excessively, mistreat your fellow guildies, or are gear gear gear oriented, we will kindly ask you to go be successful in another guild :)

We like it here. It's a good place to hang out. We enjoy one another!! And we wish to invite others of a like mind! You are welcome here. The ASYLUM has nice padded rooms and fun Houdini-type clothing to play with. You too can hug yourself with an ASYLUM straight-jacket in your choice of Hug Me Hot Pink, or Comfort Me Cream!

I have one more motto I believe very strongly in ... no matter how many teams we put together to run progression or open guild runs through ICC or any other instance. No matter how far ONE team gets, etc., etc. ... we are ONE guild, ONE team, with ONE common goal ... to have fun and stomp the bageezus out of stuff in-game :) but never one another.
